Implant prosthetics is one of the most modern fields, enabling aesthetic and virtually painless restoration of missing teeth. It allows you to bring back your smile in the case of a single missing tooth, partial gaps, or even complete tooth loss.
By using implants as new roots, we can restore a single crown on them that closely resembles a natural tooth. In addition, there is no need to prepare the tissues of adjacent teeth, and we avoid potential complications that can occur after preparing vital teeth (such as post-procedure sensitivity or the need for endodontic treatment). Another advantage is the ability to extend implant-based work with additional units, e.g., if a neighboring natural tooth is lost. Such solutions often deliver much better results than classic prosthetic restorations. This is thanks to the integral connection of the implant with your own bone, which significantly reduces bone loss and resorption at the site of the missing tooth. In other words, it feels as if the new tooth is growing from a real root surrounded by your own gum!
Individually profiled abutments have also been introduced, which—thanks to three-dimensional shaping—fit perfectly to the surrounding gingiva. Thanks to new technologies, abutments can be made not only from metal alloys such as cobalt-chromium, dental gold, or titanium, but also from zirconia. This gives a completely natural translucency and opalescence, so even under unusual lighting no one will guess the tooth isn’t natural.
