Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is an advanced and precise dental procedure aimed at saving a tooth with irreversible inflammation or pulp necrosis. Preliminary diagnostics
– We take an X-ray or CBCT scan to assess the condition of the canals and periapical tissues.
Anesthesia
– The treatment is completely painless and performed under local anesthesia.
Isolation of the treatment area
– We place a rubber dam (a special rubber sheet) to protect against saliva and bacteria from the mouth.
Pulp removal and root canal preparation
– Using a microscope, we remove the pulp and clean the canals with machine tools and disinfectant rinses.
Filling the channels
– We seal the canals tightly with biocompatible material (gutta-percha) to prevent reinfection.
We secure the tooth
– We refer the patient for the final restoration.
