BOTOX – effective wrinkle reduction and facial contour improvement

Botox is the common name for botulinum toxin, which relaxes muscles by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses.

It can be used for various purposes, both aesthetic and medical, including:

  • correction of a gummy smile,
  • reduction of horizontal forehead lines,
  • smoothing “crow’s feet” around the eyes,
  • softening the glabellar frown lines (between the eyebrows),
  • brow lift,
  • correction of smoker’s lines around the mouth,
  • treatment of hyperhidrosis (hands, feet, armpits),
  • treatment of bruxism (excessive teeth grinding).

Who is it for?

Botox is intended mainly for people who want to improve the appearance of the skin or benefit from its therapeutic properties. In aesthetic use, it is particularly popular among those noticing the first signs of aging, but it can also be used preventively to help stop wrinkles from forming.

How does a Botox treatment proceed?

1. Pre-treatment consultation

Before the procedure there is a consultation with a physician, who assesses the patient’s skin, discusses expectations, and checks for any contraindications (e.g., neurological disorders, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, etc.).

2. Preparation for treatment

  • Cleansing the skin: The skin is cleansed of makeup and impurities to prevent infection and ensure sterility during the procedure.
  • Anesthesia (optional): Botox is administered with a fine needle; depending on the patient’s preference and the treatment area, a topical anesthetic cream or skin cooling may be used to minimize discomfort.

3. Botox injections

  • Using a fine needle, Botox is injected into selected areas of the face. The entire process usually takes about 15–30 minutes.
  • Number of injections: Typically ranges from a few to a dozen or so punctures, depending on the number of wrinkles and the area being treated.

4. After the procedure

  • Patients can usually return to daily activities almost immediately. There is generally no need for a long recovery, although for several hours after the treatment you should avoid lying down (keep the head from dropping) and avoid massaging the injection sites.
  • Side effects: Mild redness, small bruises, or swelling at the injection sites may occur, but these usually resolve within a few hours to a few days. In rare cases, headaches may appear and subside within hours.

At Q-CLINIC the procedure is performed exclusively by an experienced physician, using only certified botulinum toxins from reputable manufacturers.

Mesotherapy (needle mesotherapy)

Needle mesotherapy is a long-established method used in medicine, not only in aesthetics. It involves injecting small doses of therapeutic substances directly into diseased or problem areas.

A medical consultation precedes needle mesotherapy, during which a dedicated product is selected for the specific concern.

To achieve the full mesotherapy effect, 2 to 8 sessions are usually required, depending on the indication and area. For the face and eye area, it can significantly soften fine lines and improve skin firmness, elasticity, and tone.

TREATMENT COURSE

For full comfort, the procedure is preceded by topical anesthesia with a numbing cream. Needle mesotherapy is performed with an appropriately selected needle and syringe to deliver intradermal injections of active nutrients. Injections are typically placed at ~0.5 cm intervals, to a depth of up to 2 mm. A series of sessions is usually recommended at 1–4 week intervals.

Mesotherapy with Tropocollagen

Mesotherapy with Tropocollagen — versatile applications in aesthetic medicine.

Preparations containing tropocollagen are intended for regeneration and reconstruction of the skin of the face, neck, décolletage, scalp, and the entire body.

The mechanism of action involves the immediate rebuilding of collagen fibers in the skin and subcutaneous tissue. This process is initiated by the rapid reconstruction of the bio-scaffold — fibroblasts begin producing their own type I tropocollagen, from which collagen fibers are formed.

In addition, auxiliary substances in GUNA MD preparations — vitamins and bioflavonoids — accelerate cellular metabolism, contributing to even more effective tissue regeneration.

Injecting Tropocollagen further stimulates fibroblast proliferation and their migration to the damaged tissue, which is important not only for skin regeneration in aesthetic medicine, but also for wound healing and the treatment of scars and stretch marks.

Effects:

  • Support for skin regeneration
Hydration, improved density and elasticity in lax/aged or photo-damaged skin; support for the treatment of scars and stretch marks.
  • Action on subcutaneous tissue
Support in reducing localized fat deposits and cellulite; improvement of the spatial structure of subcutaneous tissue.
  • Action on facial mimetic muscles and the platysma
Improved muscle tone and restoration of normal resting muscle tension (tonus).
  • Action on masticatory muscles (masseters)
Reduced masseter tension (bruxism) and increased likelihood of resolving associated myofascial pain in the face/head region.
  • Action on the scalp
Improved structure and function of the scalp, enhanced vascularization, stimulation of hair papillae to proper function.

What happens when we lose collagen?

  • abnormal scars,
  • expression lines,
  • pain and discomfort,
  • skin laxity and dryness,
  • excessive muscle tension,
  • limited mobility.

What happens when we inject GUNA Tropocollagen?

  • improved skin appearance,
  • relief of excessive tension in the orbicularis oculi and oris muscles,
  • relief of abnormal tension in the platysma,
  • reduced excessive tension of the masseter muscles, affecting the facial contour,
  • revitalization of the skin and subcutaneous tissue,
  • reduction of localized fat deposits,
  • regeneration of damaged connective-tissue structures — skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments,
  • pain relief.

Tropocollagen in dentistry — applications:

  • guided tissue regeneration,
  • wounds after oral surgical procedures,
  • periodontal inflammation,
  • facial nerve palsy — post-infectious or following dental/surgical procedures,
  • sensory disturbances in the facial area,
  • gingival and dental hypersensitivity,
  • neurogenic pain.

We use only GUNA Medical Device products based on natural tropocollagen in our facility.

Tissue stimulators

Tissue stimulators are formulations designed to improve skin quality by supporting regeneration and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. They act mainly in the deeper layers of the skin, where natural repair processes occur. As a result, they help tighten the skin, smooth wrinkles, and improve overall condition.

How do tissue stimulators work?

Tissue stimulators work via skin bio-revitalization. They contain substances delivered into the skin — e.g., with needle mesotherapy — to stimulate regenerative and tissue-repair processes.

Main effects of tissue stimulators:

  • Improved skin density — the skin becomes thicker and more elastic.
  • Wrinkle reduction — especially medium-depth lines on facial skin.
  • Lifting — improved facial contours and jawline definition.
  • Hydration — increased overall skin moisture for a more radiant look.
  • Natural result — tissue stimulators provide a subtle, natural effect because they do not “fill” lines like classic fillers but stimulate the skin’s own regeneration.

PRP/PRF (platelet-rich plasma & fibrin) mesotherapy

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) are techniques in aesthetic medicine aimed at improving skin condition, accelerating tissue regeneration, and supporting the treatment of various skin problems. Both methods use natural components derived from the patient’s own blood, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions. Here’s how they work and where they are used:

1. PRP mesotherapy (“vampire facelift”)

  • How it works: PRP is prepared from the patient’s blood and then processed to concentrate platelets. Platelets contain growth factors that stimulate tissue regeneration, improve microcirculation, and enhance collagen production.
  • Process: After drawing the patient’s blood, the sample is centrifuged to separate plasma. The plasma is then injected into areas requiring improvement, such as the face, neck, décolletage, or scalp.
  • Uses:
    • reducing wrinkles and improving skin firmness,
    • treating hair loss (e.g., androgenetic alopecia),
    • skin revitalization,
    • supporting the treatment of scars, stretch marks, and hard-to-heal wounds.

During PRP/PRF mesotherapy, plasma and fibrin are administered as micro-deposits; the series of micro-injections stimulates regenerative processes in the facial skin.
